| I enjoy what I do. It is
simple as that. I believe that farming and ranching requires a different
individual to work as hard as we need, to get everything done and be
successful. Born and raised in Trenton, NE. The population is under
600 people. I went to high school in McCook, NE which is located 22
miles to the east and graduated in 1997. Then off to McCook Community
College for two years and then to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for
two and a half years receiving my B.S. in Agronomy with a minor in
Agricultural Economics.
While attending UNL I would like to give credit to a Dr. Jim
Kendrick. I was fortunate enough to have him for two classes. Those were
Agricultural Marketing 211, and Marketing in a Multinational Environment
425. I learned more in these two classes than any two in my college
career.
I enjoy flying, hunting, and the open spaces of rural Nebraska. The
fact that you can drive down the county road for miles and not seeing a
single person makes it worth while. I like big cities but for just short
times.
I have made it a point to start traveling and seeing the world a
little. I was fortunate to go to Australia for some time this fall and I
am going to make it a point to take one major trip a year to see what is
out in the world. Photos of this trip can be found in my gallery.
Being able to watch the crops grow, change, and mature throughout
the year gives me a sense of happiness to know that you are responsible
for them. Of course the cattle are quite enjoyable to be around. |
